I’m a Master Certified Life Coach who helps anxious and insecure women overcome their internalized social programming so they can create true confidence and self-love. As the host of the top-rated and New York Times-recommended podcast UnF*ck Your Brain, I give listeners tools to reduce anxiety and insecurity, boost self-confidence, and get what they really want in life. I also run a Glamour-recommended coaching community, The Clutch - a monthly subscription to the feminist coaching revolution. And I’m the author of Enough Already, forthcoming from Penguin Life in 2024.
I discovered feminism at a young age and spent my teenage years writing impassioned editorials in the high school newspaper. At Yale, I helped run the Yale Women’s Center and escorted at a reproductive rights clinic. After earning my B.A., I worked for Planned Parenthood’s national media office, volunteering as an ER sexual assault crisis advocate in my spare time. Next, I earned my J.D. from Harvard Law School. As a lawyer, I clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit before becoming a litigator at the Center for Reproductive Rights. Transitioning into academia, I held a fellowship at Yale Law School, where I worked on theory and policy around women’s equality and liberty rights, including reproductive health care access, followed by a stint running a think tank at Columbia Law School.
Today, I teach women the tools of their own liberation. Think of me as a fun, non-judgmental combo of wise elder, feminist mentor, and hilarious best friend…except I give way better advice than your real friends.
I live in Manhattan with a very grumpy, elderly cat. In my spare time, I devour modern fiction, take long walks with my partner, and spend too much time shopping for antique jewelry online.
